Chhattisgarh RTE Admission
Right to Education (RTE) was passed by the Government of India on 4 August 2009. RTE was implemented from 1st April 2010. Under this scheme, 25% seats in elementary classes of non-aided and minority private schools up to class 8 have been reserved for economically weaker children. This scheme was implemented in Chhattisgarh from the session 2010-11. Earlier the benefit of this scheme was provided only till 8th class but in 2019 this scheme was modified. Now the benefit of this scheme will be provided to the students of Chhattisgarh till class 12th.
Under this scheme, children of 3 to 6.5 years of the state are eligible to take admission in private schools. After admission, the student can get free education till class 12th. The benefit of this scheme has been provided to 2.9 lakh students of Chhattisgarh so far. Now every student of the state will be able to get education through this scheme.
